IWeb Health Promotion Module User Guide |
This area of the application (Health Promotion > Data Quality) allows reports to be run to ensure the quality of data. Whenever possible, the application attempts to automatically correct issues and displays them in a report.
Note that the user must have the UFM Access user permission and that an Organization (IRMS) must be selected before the Health Promotion > Data Quality menu link becomes available.
Data quality is examined for all patients who meet the following criteria:
These are the available reports to assist with data quality:
Restricted Addresses

Optionally enter updated from and through dates and click the Run Restricted Addresses Report button to run this report. The application logic performs the following:

Optionally enter updated from and through dates, selected a minimum address length, and click the Run Addresses Missing Report button to run this report. Example results:
Promote Reserve Addresses
Displays a list of patients (age 0 to 6) with invalid and missing addresses. The report runs based on the invalid address flag so that if the address is missing, the Missing Address report should be run first to mark the address invalid. Optionally enter updated from and through dates and birthdate from and through dates, then click the Run Promote Reserve Addresses Report button to run this report.
Unusable Names

Optionally enter updated from and through dates and click the Run Unusable Name Report button to run this report.
In the deduplication procedure, if only one of the names is present in the table, neither the first name nor the last name is updated. Additionally, the Unusable Names table is used when determining whether a merge should overwrite the patient's name in the Master table. |
Language Switch
Displays all patients that had edits to the Language field. Optionally enter updated from and through dates and click the Run Language Switch Report button to run this report.
Long Names
Displays all patients with names longer than 32 characters. The user can provide a Mailing Name to be used in place of the patient's long name. No changes are made to the patient's original data. To run this report, Optionally enter updated from and through dates, select whether or not to automatically fix long names, and click the Run Long Name Report button. The Automatically Fix Long Names option attempts to shorten names longer than 32 characters with this logic:
Suspicious Birth Dates

To run this report, optionally enter updated from and through dates and birthdate from and through dates, then click the Run Suspicious Birth Dates Report button. The application checks for any patient whose birthdate is the same as an immunization date, excluding HepB and HBIG. This prevents mailing to persons over the age of six when a bad birthdate has been received from batch or manual entry. When the report is run with a birthdate range, the list of records is displayed in order of birthdate, starting with the most recent.

Enter/select any options if needed, then click one of the report run buttons (i.e., Run Restricted Addresses Report) to run that report. If the report is successful, the total number of records found appears below the report button, along with a button to view the report. If there are no results, a message stating that fact appears below the report button. If there are errors, the total number of records found appears below the report button, along with a Make Corrections/View Report button to access and correct the errors.
To view and correct the data quality errors, first run the report and then click the Make Corrections/View Report button. The related patient list page opens (i.e., Suspicious Birth Dates Patient List). To view details about a patient, click the arrow button in the Select column next to their name in the patient list. To correct an error, click the related button. For example, click the Confirm DOB button to confirm that a patient's birthdate is correct on the Suspicious Birth Dates Patient List page. You may be sent to different pages depending on the type of report that was run.
